In Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts, American Legion Posts and Military installations worldwide, they will always honor all those who have served this country, and most especially those comrades in arms who never returned home. These veterans’ posts and military installations have a very meaningful and symbolic table that is placed in reverence, usually by a doorway. This simple table, usually set for one, is a powerful statement that we all must always remember. This “Table By The Door”, known as the “Missing Man Table”, pays honor and tribute to those who are either being held as prisoners of war, or who are missing in action. They are humbly referred to as POW/MIA.
In 2008 Patti Stilson released a song, ‘Table By The Door’, from her ‘I REMEMBER’ album. This beautiful ballad renders deep and heartfelt respect to the “Missing Man Table”. This song is being used at every level as part of the POW/MIA ceremony. Inspired by the emotional and appreciative reception of this moving tribute, she has produced a video she would like to share with everyone who carries out the POW/MIA ceremony, as well as to promote awareness to the general public. This includes 12,000 VFW’s, 22,000 American Legions, Military posts, Veterans motorcycle groups and many other military and POW/MIA organizations, as well as making it available free for anyone to download.
But she needs YOUR help! We are seeking sponsorship to enable us to send this professionally produced HD/DVD to every post and organization afore mentioned. With your sponsorship we will include your organization on the video credits, and for our most generous contributors we will also add their logo to the back cover of this awesome video! There has already been an overwhelming response to this project, and potential viewership is limitless!
In the next few months many of our brave soldiers will be returning home. But like the great American soldiers from throughout history, they will be leaving a part of themselves behind in the form of fallen comrades. As we show them our gratitude, let’s also show them WE REMEMBER those who never made it home.
